Description
A whole class writing journal is a great way to encourage classroom community while practicing writing in a unique, fun way! It fits best with writing centers and/or the Daily 5 curriculum.
In my classroom, I use composition books that have handwriting lines and space for a drawing. In my experience, encouraging students to create a drawing with their writing (regardless the age) motivates them to stay on task while writing.
* Note: These pages will print full size on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper. To fit to a composition notebook, select “Actual size” in the printer settings.
