Description

This set of 6th grade math binder notes provides an organized set of notes and practice problems for classifying solid figures. The front side of the page is the "notes" page. Students will be introduced to vocabulary associated with solid figures, including face, base, edge, and vertex. The next section shows the relationship between solid figures and their nets, along with a few quick notes about what names the figures (bases) and the shapes of all other faces (rectangles and triangles). The back side consists of 11 guided or independent practice problems. Students will be asked to name figures based on their solid figure or net, draw the net of a cube, and select a possible net for a rectangular prism.

NOTE: This assignment only includes the following solid figures: rectangular prism, square prism (cube), square pyramid, and rectangular pyramid. Please download the preview to see exactly what is included!

These notes work great during guided instruction, small groups, reteaching, or review before an assessment.

This was great and easy for students to follow. It was perfectly spread out, so students aren't overloaded with sentences and phrases. This definitely helped with the beginning vocabulary for my unit. Thank you!
