Description

Students will design their own treehouse-clubhouse, utilizing their creativity, knowledge of area and perimeter, and money addition and subtraction skills.

Students will work through a 5-Part project where they

1. Practice skills relating to area and perimeter as a review.

2. Choose and determine the area and perimeter they would like

3. Complete various area and perimeter problems correctly for extra money

4. Work within a budget to determine what to buy. Manage their money by addition and subtraction.

5 . Place and label their purchases in their drawn clubhouse to determine the floor area taken vs free area space remaining.

The project is intended to be worked on over a series of days. Students will be relating real life scenario's relating to area and perimeter in an engaging way that promotes creativity!

Perfect for whole class work time, early finisher work, center activity, or homework project
