This activity is a great way to celebrate Johnny Appleseed Week and practice binary coding. This activity includes vocabulary words such as frontier, orchard, and American that students convert into binary codes. There are also pictures that students must convert to a binary code based on the shading. Most of all, this is an opportunity to get unplugged and have fun.
