"This has become one of those projects that students hear about and look forward to when it is their year to do it. It is so hands-on and student directed. My middle school students love having a coloring activity since they rarely get to do that anymore. Great resource! "

Description

Learn how to bring coding to real life and make an operation game for the Microbit! This is a fun hands on activity that lets students see how their program can be used outside of the computer. Included in this a set of step by step instructions with pictures, a with a student handout, and a rubric.

Feel free to edit the documents to make the changes that best fit your needs.

You will need to purchase a few small items for this such as box cutters or scissors, alligator clips, aluminum foil, tweezers. I 3D print the operation game pieces (files included). But, they can make them from cardboard. You should have the other items (coloring sheets are included, markers, glue sticks, cardboard) in your classroom.

I wanted to do this project but didn't have the time to put it all together. This was a great resource and easy to tweak for our class needs. Students loved it.
