PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This unit is designed to teach your students how to work collaboratively. It is designed using a hand drawn chain link border.
The unit is 27 pages long and contains the following, all on 81/2 by 11 paper:
-Chain-link letters that spell out "Let's Collaborate!" (each letter is 1/4 page -designed to be used as title for bulletin board -see in thumbnails) (5 pages)
-diagnostic questions, one on each poster to ask students about their feelings towards group work (3 pages)
-Learning goal poster and poster with learning goal and targets for collaboration (2 pages)
-1/2 page posters with the titles, Steps to Collaboration, Goal Setting, Listening, Communicating, Making Decisions, and Reflecting (3pages)
-Full page learning goals with success criteria for each of the above areas (5 pages)
-full page posters asking the following questions:
●What do we do if our group can’t agree on one solution?
●How can we disagree with each other respectfully?
●How can we include a group member who may not be participating?
●How can we get a group member back on task?
●How can we encourage someone?
●How can we say “No” to someone?
-Then there is a full page poster with each of the above questions with a list of prompts or solutions for students
-I have also included a blank template of four squares on a page. This may be used with each of the above questions to have students generate their own solutions to the above prompts
The reason I designed this unit is to teach students how to solve conflicts with less teacher support. So, it is suggested to teach each of the prompts or strategies as the need arises, and have to the solutions displayed as a reminder to students.
