Description

Have your students create their own large 24 x 36 inch Number Sentences Poster that allows them to take ownership of their learning by creating their own anchor chart to color and display important concepts they learned during your lesson.

This unique product comes with multiple versions of the poster that allow you to print the poster (1) pre-colored, (2) as a math journal insert in either color or B&W, or (3) as a large 24' x 36' print for those with access to a poster printer.

These alternative ways to utilize the poster come in addition to the way we recommend using the poster - as a collaborative poster activity where each student plays an important individual role while working as a team in the process of poster creation.

============================

Components:
1. 20 unique coloring sheets, with individualized drawing instructions, that each contain one section of the poster. See the preview to see how each page is clearly marked so that students can easily coordinate creating the Number Sentences anchor chart after coloring in their section.

2. A link to download our high resolution file of this poster, which you can use to print the poster in brilliant and sharp colors at almost any size (24 in x 36 in is recommended). You'll need access to a poster printer to utilize this printing option.

3. A ( 1 ) color & ( 2 ) black and white version of the number sentences anchor chart that can be colored in by your students (B&W version) or printed out in full color (color version) to use as a math journal insert or take home reference sheet.

Advice: If you have more than 20 students in your class, and some of your students are left without a section of the poster to color in, you may want to print a few of the smaller 8.5 x 11 inch journal inserts so that each student has something to color in. This way everybody can participate together.

4. A file that contains a color version of the poster as 9 separate sections that will be cute and glued onto butcher paper, adhered to poster board, or stapled directly onto your bulletin board in a 3 x 3 array . This option allows you to take advantage of the product if you don't have access to a poster printer (see #2), or you simply aren't interested in creating the poster as a collaborative group coloring activity.

5. A link to download our own number sentences math music videos that were the original inspirations for these posters. We highly recommend starting your lesson off by using one (or more) of our song's as a hook to capture your student’s attention, before following it up with this activity.
