Description
This collaborative activity is an incredible way to not only build classroom community around our faith but to encourage students of any age to come together in reflection and prayer. Whether done with physical paper and coloring materials or done digitally, students design 32 squares (Individually or collaboratively) that can be assembled together to create the arms of a large cross. The center of the cross can then be a place to display a title, a special quote, a photo of your class, a description of what students reflected on, or another idea of your own creation!
This collaborative classroom cross is perfect for any season of the liturgical year! Use it during Lent to reflect on the death and resurrection of our Lord, or during Advent to prepare for his birth. It can be an incredible back to school activity or one to display during Catholic Schools week! It looks awesome on display in your classroom, or in the hallways of your building. It can even be an incredible display for the vestibule of your church to celebrate the students that attend the church’s school.
