Colonial Life Project
Share

Description

In this project, students will take on the life of a colonist during the 1800's. Everything from jobs, tasks, clothing, names, etc.is part of this worksheet. This sheet should be used as a starting point for a writing project which is also attached. Students will used the information they write down (as they create their fantasy colonial life), and put it into a letter written in the voice of this character, back to their family home in England. This is a great non fiction writing piece, where students can work on voice as well.

This was okay, not quite advanced enough for some of my 5th graders, but worked well for some of my lower students.
