Description

Do you enjoy teaching math and social studies at the same time? These cross-curricular task cards allow students to review their knowledge of life in colonial Virginia as they solve math word problems related to place value, comparing and ordering numbers, and the four operations. This is a great way to hit two subjects at once and ensure you are reviewing previously taught content!

Math Skills Practiced:

  • place value
  • comparing and ordering numbers
  • estimation
  • single-step problems with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • multistep problems with addition, subtraction, and multiplication

What's Included:

  • 20 printer-friendly task cards
  • student recording sheet
  • answer key
  • directions for preparation and use

This works well for math centers, early finishers, review, and morning work. Students can use these task cards independently, with a partner, in a small group, or as a whole class.

This resource supports 2023 Virginia Studies VS.4 and 2023 Virginia Math SOL 4.NS.1, 4.NS.2, 4.CE.1, and 4.CE.2.
