This activity presents the color groups in terms of a family tree--how does each group mix to create a new "generation" of colors? Students are out of their seats and engaging in this activity with their classmates as they learn about one of the elements of art. The last few slides allow students to experiment with ways of showing Principles of Design, including rhythm, symmetry, and proportion.
