Description

Are you looking for a fun and hands-on activity to add to your preschool color matching theme? Or are you looking for an engaging work task box to add to your math centers? If so, this color matching task box is the perfect addition to your classroom!

Your students will love sorting the crayons into the following colors;

  • Black
  • Blue
  • Brown
  • Gray/Grey
  • Green
  • Orange
  • Pink
  • Purple
  • Red
  • White
  • Yellow

This activity comes in 2 different levels;

  • Matching color crayon to color splat
  • Matching color crayon (with color name on) to color name (word)

This task box comes in spelling options suitable for both i.e color/colour, gray/grey.

Students need to identify what color the crayon is and then match this to the task card containing the same color splat or color name.

Your students will love working on their color recognition skills with these hands-on color matching task cards. I recommend laminating each of the individual task cards so that they will be stronger, longer lasting and reusable in the future.

Instructions

  • Print the task cards.
  • Cut out and laminate each of the individual task cards.
  • Lay the task cards out in your math centers and watch your students work on their color recognition skills.

These task cards fit perfectly into photo storage boxes - making it easy for you to stay organised and keep all the pieces together.

Great resource. I have students with various exceptionalities, therefore, I needed material that students could complete on their own while targeting different skills.
