This color matching puzzle is an engaging hands-on activity perfect for early finishers, morning work, centers, intervention groups, and small-group instruction. Once students understand the concept, it works especially well for students with special needs.

🧩 How the puzzle works

• The resource includes 48 puzzle cards
  (6 puzzle sets, 8 cards per set).
  
• Each card shows 6 items:
  👉 3 at the top and 3 at the bottom
  (a mix of color words and color pictures).
  
• The color pictures are shown as paint / color splashes for clear visual support.
  

Students match cards by connecting:

• color word ➜ color splash
  
• color splash ➜ color word
  

The bottom of one card matches the top of another, creating a complete puzzle.

This activity supports color recognition, vocabulary development, visual discrimination, and fine motor skills.
