"We did this in Pre-k and kinder. It was wonderful to watch the littles sort objects. Their eye/hand coordination was used as well as their knowledge of color."

Description

These 7 color worksheets can be used for a Color Sorting craft and writing practice to help Pre-K or Kindergarten students learn about colors. This can be used for a Colors theme during the school year.

Colors for the craft worksheets include red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and pink. Teachers can prepare materials by going to a local home improvement store and picking up some free paint swatch cards to use for the craft. The paint swatches can be distributed to each student and then pasted on the tops of the papers.

I tried to give each student their favorite color in order to increase their excitement, so that the activity could be successfully completed!

Use a variety of colorful items to execute this color sorting activity.

- Christmas bows

- popsicle sticks

- artificial feathers

- pom poms
