Description

Celebrate Spring in March or April with these fun early finisher pages! Use these editable color by code pages to review skills with your students! All you have to do is type your words into the master page and they will auto populate onto the coloring pages. These color by code printables are perfect for morning work, homework, or an independent activity.

This spring color by code resource includes templates for 6-, 8-, and 10-word pages! There are two types of templates - one that is simple (ideal for sight words, letter/number recognition) and one that is more customizable (ideal for phonics patterns, grammar, math facts, and more).

How can I use these printable color by code pages in my classroom?

These pages can be used as an independent activity! You can use these to practice a variety of skills. Use them for sight word practice, number or letter recognition, or for practice reading a phonics pattern. See the preview for some examples! After you add your items on the master page and print, students will use the code at the top of each page to color the picture.

These pages can be used as morning work, homework, an independent center activity, or as an early finisher. Students will practice your chosen skill and feel like they are completing a fun coloring page!

What makes these color by code pages effective learning tools?

- Not only are students developing meaningful skills, but they are also engaging in fine motor practice. They have to color neatly and inside the lines. This requires the use of fine motor skills.

- They also get to stimulate the creative side of their brain! Coloring is viewed as a 'fun' activity and students will enjoy the opportunity to be creative.

- These printables also increase student engagement. When a student sees a blank coloring page, they feel the anticipating of what could be. This is the ideal brain space for learning!

- Coloring is calming. Completing these pages is a low-stress activity. This is brain-friendly practice!
