Description

These color by code worksheets for hyperbole, idioms, similes, metaphors, alliteration, onomatopoeia, and personification will be a fun and engaging supplement to your figurative language lessons. There are 6 jungle themed worksheets with answer keys provided.

Each page has 6 or 7 questions for students to answer. I like to do this as a whole group and make sure everyone has answered correctly before they start to color. It also gives you a chance to see what might need re-teaching or reviewing.

These make beautiful displays and are nice to have on hand for a sub. I’m a librarian and sometimes have to go to the classroom for “library” so I always have some printed and ready to go when needed.

Please take a look at the preview to see what’s included.

The types of figurative language covered in this packet includes:

I wished the worksheets were formatted differently. When making the purchase I assumed the layout of the worksheet appeared differently than what it actually was.

These pages are very engaging! My students are challenged to finding figurative language examples. Each one has the right amount of practice. I also like that some have only a couple types of figurative language, and they build up to choosing from a few types. This a great resource to use at the beginning, middle, or end of a figurative language unit.
