Description
These color by code seasonal reading challenge activities will help your elementary school students develop a habit of reading all year long. These color by code printable pages provide choice, differentiation, and motivation for that all important daily reading!
Please check out the PREVIEWS to see everything that is included in this money-saving bundle!
This resource was created with both students AND teachers in mind. The color by code sheets are super easy to prepare. Just print, copy, and go! Students like the fun of coloring in the picture, but they are still accountable for reading by counting minutes, books, or chapters. You can complete these together with your small reading groups, so that they can see how reading minutes add up to stronger brains.
You can also differentiate among different levels of reading stamina and ability by which picture you give them, but it won't be obvious to the students which one is easier or more difficult. Students will have free choice of which books they want to read. We all know that choice is a HUGE motivator for engagement in reading!
There are 6 visually appealing color by code printables in each seasonal packet, for a total of 24. Each sheet has a seasonal picture to color and complete as your students read through the year on their own or together as a class. Coloring answer keys are included!
Each bundle also includes pages to copy for the back side, including 4 different kindergarten to second grade book lists and 4 different third grade to fifth grade book lists.
The finished pictures will make great seasonal wall displays or bulletin boards!
