This editable template has two formats to meet the needs of all of your students.
The color by number template has a page for you to input 20 review questions to assess comprehension of various topics.
After students answer the 20 review questions, they use the color code to complete the St. Patrick's Day coloring pages.
There are 5 sets of the color by number activities included in this template. Therefore, you can include up to 100 review questions to assess students.
Using the color by numbers method, students can make meaningful connections to various topics while using an engaging, hands-on approach to learning.
How do I use Color by Numbers activities?
These color by numbers activities do involve some prep work in coming up with the review questions and answer choices you want to include. However, once the review questions and answers are created, you just need to print the review questions page (the student answer worksheet) and the corresponding coloring page.
If you are limited in copies, I suggest printing the student answer worksheet and coloring page back to back.
Color by numbers is an easy and fun way to review for a quiz or an assignment to leave for a substitute teacher. With 5 sets included in this editable template resource, you have many choices to choose from!
Coloring also has the added benefit of reducing anxiety and helping students stay focused. Depending on your student population, this activity could take up to a 50 minute class period. The completed coloring pages can serve as a great example of student artifacts that can be displayed throughout the classroom.
The coloring pages use 4-5 colors. There are suggested colors to use for each color by number coloring page. However, since this resource is editable, you can make modifications to the resource to match with the materials/ colors you have available in your classroom.
