Description
This is a PowerPoint created for our current hybrid classes during COVID-19. Both online and face-to-face students will be able to utilize this assignment the same.
Students will watch a 3 minute video and a short one page reading to learn about the different things traded between the new world and old world. The video is embedded in the PowerPoint, but there is also a google drive link as well. There is also the google drive link for the reading so that the students don't need to download the reading, but can see it on a web page. This is also an additional security so that if the video or reading get taken down by the host website, they will still be accessible and the activity will still be usable.
Once the students want the video and finish the reading, they will list on a map when the different items originated. There is a key included in the PowerPoint on the last slide so you will need to remove this before distributing it to your students if that is your preference. I have also linked where the video and reading came from so if you want to do the who PBS activity you can do so.
