Address upper elementary understanding of commas with this 3-deck bundle of online, interactive Boom Cards. Boom Cards are a great solution for distance learning since they are online and provide students with immediate feedback.

Titles Included:

  • Commas to Set Off Words
    • Students will use commas to set off words from the rest of the sentence
    • yes/no; direct address; tag questions

  • Commas to Separate Introductory Elements
    • Students will use commas to separate an introductory element from the rest of the sentence
    • participle phrases; introductory clauses; interjections; other common introductory elements

  • Punctuating Items in a Series
    • Students will use commas, semicolons, and colons to separate items in a series

Each deck begins with several pages of notes to introduce or review the concept.

Question types include:

- Find the sentence with correct punctuation (multiple choice)

- Insert the correct punctuation into a sentence (drag and drop)

- Select whether a given sentence is punctuated in a way that is correct or incorrect
