Punctuation Using Commas PowerPoint supports Common Core; comma rules and using comma punctuation correctly in writing elements and sentence structure. Good test prep. Explains using commas with lists (including the oxford comma), dates, addresses, and titles. Discusses using commas when joining independent and subordinate clauses in compound and complex sentences. Also covers nonessential clauses, phrases and words, introductory clauses, and separating coordinate adjectives. Animated clips. Use in small chunks as there is a lot of information here! There is a short 10-question multiple choice quiz at the end, with questions similar to what students would see on a standardized test. Answer and check for immediate feedback.
I have also added a self-grading 10 Question Easel Assessment (the same questions as the quiz slides at the end) to this resource as another digital option and as a way for you to collect data on your students' performance.
