Use this versatile Standards aligned activity to introduce the concept or add it to your Center/Station to give the students lots of practice. 24 sentences help the students identify the tag question and then add the proper commas. Use for whole group instruction. Project task page on the board or make a copy for each student.
Use task cards for a fun Scoot Game or a round or two of Showdown.
Small Group
Give each student a task page so that they can follow along.
Once guided instruction is complete, students can then independently complete the tasks.
Centers/Stations
Cooperative Centers/Stations students work in groups of 3 or 4.
Each student collects a task page and a recording sheet.
Students take turns completing the task. All students fill out the recording sheet as they go along.
Independent Centers/Stations
Each student collects a task page and a recording sheet.
Students work through the tasks independently and complete recording sheet.
