Description

This hands-on math activity allows your students to engage themselves in their school's semi-annual book fair while also working on their math skills.

In this activity, students will write down several books they find at the book fair along with the author and price. From there, they must write the price of each book in word form and expanded form (decimal).

Finally, there are word problems associated with the books and prices they have recorded. The questions included require students to add, subtract, and compare decimal numbers.

This activity was a great opportunity to have real life math scenarios. It was also really cool to see how excited kids were about books they wanted to purchase!
