Mix it up a little and have some fun reviewing your decimal unit with this “print and go” scavenger hunt. The Common Core Standards are listed for your reference along with the learning objectives for the lesson.

All you need to do is print out and post the 20 Multiply & Divide Decimals Scavenger Hunt task cards around the room or hide them to increase the challenge. Either way, students will have fun solving these problems as an end-of-unit review. Play some fast tempo music or set the timer to get kids pumped up for the challenge.

This lesson was designed with fifth graders in mind; however, it can be used for fourth graders needing a challenge or sixth graders needing a review. Through this unit, students will practice the following skills: (1) estimating the products of decimals and quotients (2) multiplying decimals by decimals (3) dividing decimals by decimals and powers of 10 (4) solving word problems involving the multiplication and division of decimals and (5) solving problems by looking for a pattern.
