Keep Kids Creatively Connected. This geometry lesson covers addition/multiplication of fractions, perimeter/circumference/area of squares, triangles and circles. Throughout the lesson your students will be actively participating while completing the handouts. This is a very visual/tactile lesson. Each student will need a ruler for this activity. The lessons conclude with finding the perimeter, area, of a football field and basketball court and circumference of the center circle. There is also a link to a fun site which help your students understand how to read a ruler. (Make sure your whiteboard is oriented). Many Common Core Standards are covered in this lesson.
