This is the first study guide and quiz for a quarter-long study of commonly confused words. I use these handouts with my 10th grade English class. We begin each week with the study guide activity and finish the week with a short quiz. For additional practice, I sometimes have the students write a brief story using the week's set of words. They then exchange their stories and check their peers' work for mistakes.
