Description

Communication Pyramid:

This is a "one stop shop" visual for explaining communication development to families/educators, (while keeping it as aesthetically pleasing of course!).

This visual will be helpful to:

  • Explain to parents/and or/eductors the areas of communication that Speech Pathologists work in during initial consultations/case histories.
  • Provide explanation of communication skills hierarchy, and why you may be working on earlier skills (such as early interaction skills!) when they just want their child to "talk".
  • Dot points that breakdown each communication area, to aide your questioning and discussions with families/educators.
  • Demonstrate growth in their child's goals "up" the communication pyramid.
  • Supports parents who require visual information when you are explaining how we help (I know explaining that our role is more than just 'speech' can be tricky!).
