Do your students need to work on recognizing community helpers and the job roles that they play in our communities? If so, this community helpers matching task box is the perfect addition to your community helpers unit.

With this task box students will be able to;

  • Identify community helpers.
  • Find the items that match the community helper.
  • Opportunity to discuss different community helpers and the roles that they play in society.
  • Opportunity to discuss why community helpers need these items for their job roles.
  • Opportunity to discuss what other items do they need to complete their jobs? How do they help us/serve our community?

What's Included?

  • 11 community helper task cards to match to.
  • 44 items to match to the task cards.

Instructions

  • Print out all of the included pages.
  • Cut out and laminate each of the individual task cards and individual cards.
  • Students need to identify what items belong to each of the community helpers and match them onto the card.

This activity fits perfectly into photo storage boxes - making it easy for you to stay organized and keep all the pieces together.
