Description
Digital or print options! Help your students compare decimal numbers and providing a written explanation of reasoning. This print or Google Forms™ self-checking/self-grading instructional tool is a great addition to your morning routine or intervention groups. Students are asked to compare numbers using >, <, and =, order numbers from greatest to least and least to greatest, and apply their understanding of place value to word problems. Scaffolding is provided with a place value chart for the first two days. Students are asked to solve a variety of problems (using words and numbers) and provide a written explanation/justification of their thinking.
This product includes four days of practice pages and a quiz which assesses student understanding. This can be used as morning work or for small group differentiated instruction. I have used this in my class as a quick and easy way to assess student understanding and gather data for our standards based report cards. The quiz can also be used as a pre assessment to determine present levels of understanding.
