I cannot say enough good things about this resource! It was exactly what I needed and more. Everything is thoughtfully designed, easy to implement, and truly student-friendly. My students were engaged from start to finish, and I loved how clearly everything was organized. The directions were simple, the materials were high quality, and it saved me so much time with planning. I especially appreciated how it supported my students at different levels while still keeping everyone involved and successful. This is one of those resources you can use right away without having to tweak a thing. Highly recommend to any teacher looking for something meaningful, engaging, and effective in the classroom! I have purchased so many resources from Powell in Primary and also follow her on Instagram. If you don’t, you REALLY should! I will definitely be purchasing more!

This activity is so greatly made I want to use it so many ways. My plan is independent partner group work where they can practice skills I have taught. I also plan on using it with students who need me to support their learning in small group and they can still access the same activity as their peers who are doing it on their own!

Compare two fractions with the same numerator or the same denominator by reasoning about their size. Recognize that comparisons are valid only when the two fractions refer to the same whole. Record the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, or <, and justify the conclusions, e.g., by using a visual fraction model.
