Description
I created this center for my students to practice looking at sets of numbers to determine greater than (>), less than (<) and equal to (=). Students will look at task cards lettered A-P and write the correct equality symbol on their recording sheet. The teacher can decide to use the set of cards that contains numbers to the tens place value, or numbers to the hundreds....or both! The teacher can also mix and match to create their own custom set of cards that contains some numbers to the tens and others to the hundreds. I plan to differentiate this center for my different leveled math groups. I will use just the cards to the tens for my lower 2 groups - maybe even decreasing the numbers of cards they will complete for the lower of the two (sheet provided if you need that as an option). For my on-level group I will use mostly cards to the tens, and sprinkle in a few hundreds for the last 4 task cards (M, N, O, P) and for my high group I will use the entire set of hundreds cards since they have mastered comparing numbers to the tens. Enjoy!
Includes: 16 task cards to the tens place, 16 task cards to the hundreds place, directions page, recording sheet that can be used for each set of 16 task cards, as well as a recording sheet with only 8 spots if you choose to only use cards A-H. 7 pages total.
