Comparing and Ordering Rational Numbers with River Run. This rational numbers activity is an interactive notebook activity that helps students explore how to locate, compare and order rational numbers on a number line. Easy to make and fun to use, students will enjoy "floating" their boats down the river as they work on comparing and ordering rational numbers. The design of the activity allows students to interchange number lines for differentiating learning. They can also use and re-use the activity.

The River Run package includes a 18-page presentation with details and images, templates, instructions, an activity page, and an answer key.

The comparing and ordering rational number task cards set includes 20 cards of varying difficulty and a detailed answer key. There are two cards per page in a large format (4" x 6.5"). The cards are in black and white. I recommend printing them on colored paper or card stock and laminating them.
