A fun activity to add onto an nautical themed, weather, or cartography lesson. I enjoyed adding the creativity element, encouraging the students to decorate their compass rose with colors or to turn into a geometric design in some way.

Note; Have students mark off their degrees starting with the top side, then rotate their protractors to the bottom side to mark off the degrees there.
