This download includes a full written lesson plan, multiple independent and interactive activities including creating a compass rose and practicing using a compass rose. A rubric is also included that was used for assessing one of the activities along with an assessment from an outside source mentioned in the lesson plan. I used this lesson in a 2nd grade classroom and the kids absolutely loved it! This bundle of activities and materials also includes larger cut outs that go along with one the activities. I cut them out, laminated them, and put magnets on the back to have students manipulate them on the board. They were super engaged and motivated.
