What is a fun activity for students to practice simplifying complex numbers?

Using imaginary numbers, students will simplify 20 complex number expressions and match them with the list of solutions. The no prep worksheet has students use these answers to decode a math riddle. It’s a fun way for them to self-check their work. An answer key is included.

Concepts included:

· Adding and subtracting like number types.

· Converting i2 to a real number.
