An important lesson in being yourself. I read the book 'The Mega Magic Hair Swap' by Rochelle Humes with the children and we discussed what makes each of us special and unique. The children thought it would be really boring if we all looked the same! The message in the story is 'being you is what makes you special.'
After we read the story, the children did a Mega Marvellous Compliment Swap! They used this activity sheet to draw their friend in the frame and then they wrote around the picture everything they liked about their friend. One of the most generous things you can give someone else is a true and meaningful compliment, kind words boost our confidence and self-esteem. A genuine compliment is a positive and powerful encouragement that makes people feel good about themselves.
