These task cards can be used on a computer that has PowerPoint installed OR a device that is connected to the internet and has access to Google Slides.
These 18 task cards will help your students review key algebraic concepts.
Assess your math students’ proficiency in finding composite functions and their domains. The answers are included at the end so your students can check their own work. This frees up more of the teacher’s time to walk around and help those students who need more help. Students will practice using the distributive property, combining like terms, and adding/subtraction rational functions by finding the least common denominator.
Common Core Standards:
Build a function that models a relationship between two quantities.
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.HSF.BF.A.1 Write a function that describes a relationship between two quantities.*
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.HSF.BF.A.1.C (+) Compose functions. For example, if T(y) is the temperature in the atmosphere as a function of height, and h(t) is the height of a weather balloon as a function of time, then T(h(t)) is the temperature at the location of the weather balloon as a function of time.
1. Upload the Task Cards to your Google Drive. (BOTH teacher and students need Google accounts. These are FREE.)
2. Open the Task Cards in Google Slides
3. Give each student a copy of the Composite Functions Task Cards Recording Sheet
