Description

In my 8th grade science classes, we use interactive science notebooks. My students stay organized with these composition notebook dividers. I find the plain or blank ones to be most beneficial to my students because they enjoy decorating each new unit cover. We put key vocabulary words on these and draw pictures related to the topics covered in the unit. I even use it as a sponge activity if students finish an assignment with a few minutes to spare. Though this may be the case, I included themed notebook dividers for science, math, and reading/writing/ELA.

The notebook dividers were made in Canva and are set as the backgrounds in each of the google slides so you can add your own fonts, text, pictures, etc. to the plain slides and all text can be adjusted on the themed slides, as well.

Tabs: There are 4 tabs/dividers total, per group of themed slides. You can make duplicates of these in google slides if you need more tabs/dividers. (I personally use 8 units and print the plain slides twice for my students.)

Format: Editable* Google Slides

(*Images and outlines are set as backgrounds and these cannot be changed, however text can be personalized.)

Printing: Print on card stock for longevity. Typical computer paper is too thin and will fall apart by the end of the school year.

Size: Each google slide is 8.5 x 10 in and the template for the divider fits within a typical composition notebook after being cut out. Do not change the size before printing. If changed, the dividers will be too large or too small for a composition notebook.
