Description
Model finding area of compound figures or area of composite figures with an interactive notebook activity. Two examples of compound figures are included, one modeling adding and the other subtracting area to calculate a compound area. Both figure task cards and story problem task cards are included so that your students can practice finding compound area.
All problems use compounds figures created using rectangles and squares.
•The numbers used in this resource include whole number and decimals to the tenths place.
•Photos are included to help you plan your students' interactive notebook activity.
•A recording sheet and an answer key are also included to make using and grading the task cards easy!
