Description

Task cards are an amazing teaching tool that is great for reinforcing skills learned in the classroom. These task cards target a specific skill: Compound Sentences using Commas and Coordinating Conjunctions!

Use these 40 multiple-choice task cards to help your students practice locating, deconstructing, revising, editing, and creating compound sentences. These task cards use "The Lightning Thief" by Rick Riordan as the mentor text. Each card exposes students to unique sentences found in the text. There are also four (4) bonus task cards included that can be used with any mentor text.

Each card has a unique task that asks students to:
- Identify
- Deconstruct
- Revise
- Edit
or
- Create

Suggestions for use:
Daily Practice or Warm-ups
In Stations or Literacy Centers
With a Partner or Small Group
