In this Compound Word Book, the students write a compound word at the top of each page and then write a sentence below. There is also space for the students to make an illustration to go with the sentence. Tell the students that if they can make a picture for each part of the compound word (Ex. cup and cake) then it is definitely a compound word. Just copy the pages back to back and fold. This book is a nice companion to one of my Compound PowerPoint or Smartboard Lessons.
