Comprehension Conference
Share

Description

I regularly check in on my student's reading. I check their home reading logs every morning, I informally ask questions during daily five and, once a month, I do a comprehension conference with them. I use my Comprehension Conference worksheet during such conferences. I ask summarizing, predicting, visualizing, connecting and vocabulary questions. The conferences take place the second last week of the month because students must submit a monthly book report. It gives me an idea if they are ready to write their book reports and whether or not they need help completing it. Also, this worksheet acts as documentation for guided reading.
