Description
Perfect for beginning readers or struggling readers passages with Sight Words and CVC words
This freebie contains 1 story (both question pages + teacher page) from my 22 story bundle of passages
The CCSS are asking students to think deeper about what they read and find evidence to support their thinking.
Students will:
◈ read each story three times
◈ answer the questions
- version one has 4 multiple choice questions
- version two has 5 questions and asks students to color the evidence within the text
You, the teacher, can use the running record page to assess students fluency (errors, self-corrections) and take notes on their comprehension. Quick, easy and great to have for RTI meetings, IEP meetings or parent conferences.
Many of the students I work with are beginning and/or struggling readers. They are reading A level books but I notice they rely heavily on the pictures as many of the words are not sight words or decodable words. I designed these passages for students who need practice applying their letter sounds and sight words in context.
