Description
This is a comprehensive google slides that explores #stoichiometry with high school students. It is intended for both general and honors level chemistry, however alternative pacing alongside additional support/scaffolding may be required for general chemistry students.
This set of slides offers guided notes to challenging content, integrates content knowledge from previous units, and also provides structured example problems with opportunities for the teacher to check students' understanding.
This set of notes covers these topics, in order: Mole, Conservation of Mass, Mole to Mole Factors (Ratios), Mole to Mole Calculations of Reactants and Products, Mass to Mass Calculations of Reactants and Products, Limiting/Excess Reactants, Percent Yield, and Energy/Heat in Chemical Reactions. Videos are also integrated from popular YouTube science channels - TedEd and Tyler DeWitt. You could also integrate other channels, too, like Bozeman Science or Crash Course.
