Description

Most kids don’t naturally think like PROGRAMMERS, but you can enjoy the satisfaction of seeing them have a COMPUTATIONAL THINKING ⚡“A-ha!”⚡ moment as they learn with these visual, hands-on, NO PREP STEM activities.

For those students who learn best by seeing, doing, and getting their hands dirty, this activity and card set will make abstract computing concepts as real as the classroom they’re sitting in. This pack uses students’ everyday interests, such as sports and friends, to teach them how algorithms and data collection play a role in everything they do. As they combine mathematics and technology with exploring how we collect, manipulate, and visualize data, they will also have fun and get to use their creative muscles.

Feel free to check our preview for a thumbnail of all 18 activities. We designed each task card to be so flexible that you can use them as individual assignments, group work, or a full-class exploration. If you have a classroom with access to either computers or tablets, as well as pens and paper, this collection will be ideal for teaching critical elements of S.T.E.M, computational thinking, or a digital technologies curriculum. This set makes an excellent companion to our. Computational Thinking Poster Set

Computational Thinking is very difficult for my students. Thanks to technology, my students want to find their answers without seconds. So, having to use trial and error, different resources, etc. causes many students to shut down. This tool really excited most of my students.
