"I was looking for an assignment that incorporated real-world actions and this one was great. I worked with some culinary friends and tweaked it just a little, but overall didn't need to do much. Thank you."

"Overall this is a great resource. My classes meet 45 minutes daily, this will take most students more thana week to complete. I modified it to take less time. The students are enjoying it."

Description

Looking for a fun way to wrap up your computers class?

I created this activity as a final project for my integrated computer applications class! Students will display their skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Students are opening a hypothetical restaurant and have to complete a slideshow in Microsoft PowerPoint consisting of 8 slides. Directions include various informational and formatting requirements for each slide.
  • Students must create a two page menu using Microsoft Word which also has formatting requirements.
  • Last, they must create a spreadsheet in Excel highlighting pricing and nutritional information for their menu. The spreadsheet has 24 steps in it's directions.
  • This took my high school students about 3 class periods to complete.
  • Simple Rubric included.
