By completing their Time Capsule project, students will demonstrate mastery of key Computer Applications skills, including:
- Creating and formatting business letters
- Using bullets and numbered lists
- Designing and formatting tables (including merging cells)
- Inserting and formatting images with borders
- Changing fonts, colors, and styles
- Adding headers and two-column layouts
- Composing professional documents
✅ How It Works
Students prepare 5 time capsule items to submit. They can store them in an envelope or even “sock away” their submissions in a sock for fun! Labels are included — or students can design their own for added creativity.

The Time Capsule Project is more than just an end-of-course assignment — it’s a creative way for students to showcase everything they’ve learned, while leaving your class with a keepsake they’ll remember. My TIME CAPSULE Computer Applications Class project can be used as a Microsoft or Google Applications project. It is a great way to reiterate and revisit some key tools and important formatting that is learned in a Computer Applications or Computer Literacy class!
