I created this resource to help my 6th graders understand how to use operations with decimals in real life. The problems are based off a real event (softball tournament) so it's absolutely applicable to life! This activities ties in 6.NS.3 as well as reviews how to write equations, in preparations for 6.EE.7 (new Utah math standards). This resource includes the menu (full page and half page) and 2 worksheets with word problems using the menu. The 1st worksheet is adding and subtracting decimals and the 2nd is adding and multiplying decimals. All problems involve money. You can definitely use the menu and make up your own word problems though!
