Description

Conditional Statements Carousel Activity

Get your students up and moving while exploring the validity of conditional statements! In this carousel activity, students will rotate between stations or postings on the wall and determine whether each conditional statement is TRUE or FALSE. If the statement is FALSE, students must provide a counterexample that disproves the statement. This activity encourages critical thinking and reinforces logical reasoning skills as students analyze real-world examples and engage in collaborative discussions.

This activity can also be used to review identifying the hypothesis and conclusion, finding the converse, inverse, and or contrapositive. As an alternative, for each rotation, students can be asked to find one of the aforementioned statements as they race against time. This can be used as a bell ringer, entire class period activity, or mini review. There are many possibilities to consider based on the needs of your students.

With this purchase you will receive detailed instructions, 40 cards housed in a PDF, and a TRUE/FALSE answer key. Counterexamples will vary and can be verified through personal knowledge and or online research.
