Description
Conflict management skills must be directly taught. This lesson can be used on a computer, SmartBoard, or be printed for a whole class, small group or individual lesson. The purpose of this lesson is to teach students skills to handle conflicts without making the situation worse.
This resource includes:
* A scripted lesson plan on how to handle conflict.
* A short optional video link on the I Message.
* 19 scenarios for students to practice the best way to solve the conflict, using the skills discussed in the lesson. This activity can be completed as a whole group activity or students can take turns stating how they would respond and why they would respond that way.
* A poster listing the three ways to handle conflicts and how to give an I Message.
